Alberta Gamblers Anonymous welcomes you to our website. We are a nonprofit, self-supporting fellowship of recovering compulsive gamblers who meet regularly to help each other recover from the disease of compulsive gambling. Our guides are the 12 Steps of Recovery and the 12 Steps of Unity of Gamblers Anonymous.
If you are new to Gamblers Anonymous, or are just visiting this site, and you are not sure if you are a compulsive gambler, or if you have a gambling problem, please take the time to ask yourself these 20 Questions, which will give you an indication if Gamblers Anonymous is for you.If there is an indication that you are a compulsive gambler please attend one of our meetings
Our geographical area covers all of Alberta from the windmills of Southern Alberta near the community of Lethbridge to the oilfields of Northern Alberta and all points in between.
We are proud members of the world wide fellowship of GA and gratefully support the International Service Office of Gamblers Anonymous.
This website is presented for the sole purpose of informational awareness, both for our local membership and visitors on the World Wide Web, whether they are members of Gamblers Anonymous or visitors seeking information. It is funded solely by contributions from members of our local fellowship of GA, through spiritual guidance of the principle of group conscience at the group and Intergroup level.

Edmonton GA Beginner's Meeting
Who: Anyone with a desire to stop gambling
What: Beginner's Group (format is aimed at helping newer members understand the program). All are welcome!
When: THURSDAYS from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: St. Joseph's Basilica - 114 Street & Jasper Avenue (Off of Back Alley from 114 Street)
How: This is a Discussion Step Meeting in accordance with the description on page 11 of GA "A New Beginning" (red book).
The meetings will rotate on a weekly basis between steps 1, 2, and 3. Once a month, a guest speaker will be invited and the meeting will generally follow the format of a comment therapy meeting.
